Pet pics with Santa and horses? How can you resist?

If you’re in the Southern Ontario area west of Hamilton head out to Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue in Hagersville, Ontario (near my home) on December 11, 2016 (1 to 4pm). I’ll be heading there with my dog, Victor.

In fact, I went out to one of the previous two Christmas Open Houses at the farm – November 27 and December 4, 2016 – to support the dedicated volunteers who make all this happen. Plus, buying homemade bake goods and entering raffles is kind of my thing. (Ok, two of many things).

I’ve written about Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue before, and likely will again. But here are some photos of the horses that are benefiting from generous care and often extensive medical intervention this facility offers.

I’ll be posting all the Christmas photos I’ve had done with Victor – including Whispering Hearts with Father Christmas (great costume) – on dogtrotting.net. If you don’t have a pet, Whispering Hearts has a few you can borrow for your photo.

And yes, the Tack Shack full of slightly used English and Western horse gear will be open.

Also, check out the Whispering Hearts beautiful 2017 calendar for sale ($25) and immediately turn to March – horsetrotting.net sponsored that month.
