A beautiful “Cav Black,” as they are affectionately known in London, England stands in front of the Hyde Park Barracks in the centre of London. There are always mounted guards on duty outside the horse guards building near the site where the Queen’s Birthday Parade takes place each year. As a member of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, the role of these beautiful animals is largely ceremonial, including being part of the daily Changing of The Queen’s Life Guard (different from that at the big palace), and posing for pictures like this one taken by a horse-crazy horsetrotting.net blogger.
